"MY ART REFLECTS MY DEEPEST THOUGHTS"

THE MOSAICS

My mosaics serve as a direct reflection of my deepest thoughts, capturing complex psychological landscapes through a meticulous physical process. Every stone is placed with deliberate intent, acting as a tangible fragment of an internal dialogue. I carefully lay down each tessera, ensuring that the raw, chaotic energy of my concepts is anchored by a masterful control of medium and form.

Central to my practice is a rigorous focus on the interplay between varying shapes and sizes. By hand-cutting my materials into contrasting dimensions, I orchestrate a dynamic tension across the surface. Tiny, intricate shards collide with large, bold blocks of color, yet through precise positioning, these disparate elements resolve into a singular, unified rhythm. This careful manipulation of form strikes a precise harmony across the entire mosaic, turning fractured materials into a seamless expression of the human psyche.

At my lowest point, a simple question from my mother, "Have you ever heard about mosaics?" redefined my life. Piecing broken fragments back together became the exact catalyst I needed to heal and articulate my inner world.

WHERE THE WORK HAPPENS

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Vienna, behind an unassuming door, is where my mosaics come together.

My studio is a quiet space filled with shelves of raw stone, ceramic shards, and hand-cut glass. On the workbench, a single piece sits in progress, some parts just beginning to take shape on the mesh, others already locked into place. The floor is an old wooden floor, and my hands occasionally catch splinters from the sharp, fine shards I cut.

This isn't an open showroom or a space for quick turnarounds. I work in solitude, taking my time to process my deepest thoughts through the physical craftsmanship of the materials. Because of this intense, focused process, I don't take on commissions or recreate past designs. Every mosaic that leaves my workbench is strictly a 1-of-1 original. A completely unrepeatable piece of art that can never be made again.

While the studio itself stays private to protect the focus needed for the craft, the finished pieces make their way out into the world.

Once a piece is gone, it’s gone.
